Wax Spills
Note - only a plastic scraper should be used to scrape off excess wax prior to cleaning of item. A metal or wood scraper may cause damage to fabrics or surface area. Let all wax spills harden completely before clean up. Many liquid household cleaners will dissolve wax. Read instructions before using.
*Washable Fabrics- scrape off excess wax and run boiling water through the material, then wash as normal.
*Tile,Brick and Wood- scrape off excess wax - if wax is in crevices use hair dryer on hot to soften wax, then clean up softened wax with a cotton swab or cloth.
*Furniture and Carpet-scrape off excess wax if possible - place a clean flat cotton cloth over the spill area. Slowly move a warm iron back and forth on top of the cloth until wax is absorbed into the cloth. Repeat this using different areas of the cloth until all wax is removed from the furniture or carpet. If there is still some wax on the furniture or carpet lightly brush over spilled area with fingers or a brush and vacuum. Then try using a liquid cleaner to remove any discoloration left by the wax. Make sure to read the directions of the cleaner before using.
*Leather and Vinyl - Push down gently around spill area and the wax will separate from the material - gently pull wax off.

Tips
**All wax spills may result in a colored stain due to colored dyes and/or oil based scents found in most candles.

**Do not leave candles in direct sunlight. Colors will fade and the scent will be effected.

**To ensure no dripping and an even burn with our candles, gently push in the top edges with your thumbs after extinguishing the candle. This is known as "hugging" the candle and will make the top of the candle burn flat, even and dripless. To love your candle is to "hug" your candle

**
To add longer burn time and a more even candle burn, wrap candle in foil or plastic (to prevent wicks from absorbing moisture) and place in refrigerator for a few hours prior to lighting.

**If the flame is smoking or consistently flickering, the wick needs to be trimmed. Most candles burn more efficiently when wick is 1/4" long. The flame should not be more than 1/2" tall.

**A large flame will burn more of the fragrant vapor before it can escape into the air. KEEP WICKS TRIMMED.

**Keep burning candles away from children and pets. Do not place a burning candle near the edge of a surface - a child or pet could easily bump it and start a fire.

**To avoid splattering wax when blowing out your candle hold your finger in front of the flame and blow it out. Air flows around your finger and extinguishes the flame evenly from both sides.

**Add 1/8" of water to the bottom of any glass candle holder to ensure an easier  clean up.

**Put used votive glass in freezer for 20-30 minutes and left over wax will fall out and clean very easily.

**Glass container and votive candle holders clean up easily by running hot water into glass until all wax is loosened - wipe out with a clean dry cloth. Make sure loose wax does not go down the drain as it could cause pipes to clog.

**Place all glass holders on heat resistant surfaces - the bottom of the glass holder gets extremely hot as the candle gets shorter. This may result in discoloration of surface or even remove the paint from it.
